Before this game, Bert Gower pointed out that I seemed to be spoiling good positions with hasty moves. He thought I was having trouble managing the clock. I decided he was right and determined to go for a drink every time I started to feel hurried. Between the water breaks and the resulting bladder stops, I managed to sit on an advantage for the whole game and win. Not that Chris made it easy - he defended a difficult position very well under severe time pressure.
